Chris Vedis - Veteran and Artist

Chris Vedis is a Fine Artist and Military Veteran that creates stunning handcrafted and painted works of art utilizing Abstract, Airbrush and traditional methods.
Since Chris was old enough to pick up a pencil he has been a creative and artistic person. Chris graduated from high school in Ohio and then moved to Pennsylvania to attend college at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he received an Associates Degree in Visual Communications.
After college he was hired at a design firm in Pittsburgh where he learned the ins and outs of the printing and design industry. He began in the darkroom developing and producing the rub-on transfers for production mock-ups used by the senior designers. He gradually worked his way into production assistant and eventually was given a chance to assist in the design process. Later he learned website design and eventually branched out with a business of his own.
Chris moved to Nevada in 1998 with a dream of growing his business in web site design and Illustration. Unfortunately things didn’t work out as planned and after struggling to keep his business alive he joined the Nevada Army National Guard in 2001 and temporarily left his art behind. He spent the next 12 years with the military serving his country and has completed 2 overseas tours in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
Close to 15 years after he left his art behind, he was flooded with inspiration and started to get back his passion to be a creative. He began airbrushing and eventually transitioned into creating original abstract pieces of art. His artwork brings him back to his childhood and allows him to escape the stresses of everyday life while creating it.
